Glenwood Park received the regional ULI district’s top award and was recognized for exemplary resourceful land use, preservation of environmental resources, creative development team management, economic/market success, innovative design and planning features, fulfillment of a special societal need, and overcoming difficult obstacles to development.
Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. – Award of Excellence – 2006
The Georgia Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors selected Glenwood Park Town Center for its Award of Excellence, recognizing outstanding construction and development.
National Public Radio – Feature Story – 2006
National Public Radio (NPR) featured Glenwood Park in a program about New Urbanism, focusing on the environmental and community building features of the neighborhood. NPR centered the story around the townhouse residents on Bartram Street and the camaraderie inspired by the building and streetscape designs.

Pedestrians Educating Drivers on Safety – Golden Shoe Award – 2005
P.E.D.S. selected Glenwood Park as its 2005 Best Pedestrian-friendly New Development. P.E.D.S. called Glenwood Park “a compact, mixed-use development that is a delightful place to walk and provides a model of smart growth for the region.”
Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association - Community of the Year - 2004
The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association awarded Glenwood Park the prestigious Gold Professionalism Award for Community of the Year in November 2004.

Georgia Conservancy – Distinguished Conservationist Award – 2004
At its 10th anniversary of Eco-Benefête, the Georgia Conservancy honored Charles Brewer as the 2004 Distinguished Conservationist for his work on Glenwood Park. Green Street Properties was recognized for setting the highest standards of new urbanism and smart growth in its creation of beautiful, walkable, exciting urban neighborhoods through thoughtful development and responsible stewardship of natural resources.
Congress for the New Urbanism – Charter Award – 2003
Glenwood Park received the prestigious international Charter Award from the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) for neighborhood design excellence.
Pedestrians Educating Drivers on Safety – Golden Shoe Award – 2002
