The neighborhood's coding group contributes JQuery and AngularJS updates to our local websites.

We occasionally meet at local restaurants and cafés for NERD SOCIALIZING!
And Code for America Civic Hack Meet Ups.

Event Calendar - We've extended Adam Shaw's JQuery Full Calendar to include an Event List view.
News Exchange - Integration of news with event data using Facebook Graph, Twitter and other social feeds.

  • Infrastructure Bond Issue Implementation
  • Updates for rideshare scheduling and package delivery - integrate with Uber, Lyft and Taxi Services.
  • Set up vector map layers with feed of government data, school boundaries, bike routes, etc.
  • Integrate real-time MARTA bus data

JQuery Coding - Project

We've added an Event List to the open source “Full Calendar” project. The calendar uses client-side javascript, so you won’t have to install a local database or server-side code to lend your programming skills.

View Environmental Education Calendar | View State Park Calendar

(1.) Assit in setting up GitHub repository. (Optionally use Cloud 9 with GitHub)
(2.) Activate Full Calendar's “weekly” and “daily” tabs using the open source project's existing capabilities.
(3.) Clicking the “calendar” tab currently re-queries the database. Avoid reloading the calendar feed when moving between the tabs.
