CHaRM stands for The Center for Hard to Recycle Materials. It's a new facility on Hill Street diverts thousands of pounds of household hazardous waste, bulky trash and other hard to recycle items from Metro-Atlanta households, water supplies and landfills.

In July 2012, residents in Atlanta’s Peoplestown neighborhood experienced several days of rainfall which flooded several homes along Atlanta, Connally and Ormond avenues. The Department of Watershed Management (DWM) responded immediately to perform on-site inspections and a review of the collection and conveyance system. Under the Southeast Atlanta Green Infrastructure Initiative, DWM developed a holistic approach to flood mitigation and identified short-term and long-term projects to address flooding concerns within the Custer Avenue Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) basin.
The mission of The Clean Air Campaign is to motivate Georgians to take action to improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion. To accomplish this mission, The Clean Air Campaign offers a variety of voluntary programs and services, including free employer assistance, public information and children's education.
