Join the Atlanta Police Citizen’s Academy

Our mission is the education of Atlanta citizens in the operations and practices of their Atlanta Police Department. The program encourages participants to provide invaluable feedback necessary to foster enhanced police and community relations. The Academy includes 24 hours of professional instruction delivered in both in-class and onsite sessions. We require a one-night per week commitment over 8 weeks from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

• HOMICIDE
• 911
• FRAUD
• USE OF FORCE
• TRAFFIC STOPS
• SPECIAL VICTIMS
• SWAT
• CRIME LAB
• RIDE-A-LONG

 
 APPLICATION CRITERIA:

• BE A RESIDENT OF METRO ATLANTA
• AT LEAST 21 YRS OLD NO FELONY
• CONVICTIONS
• NO MISDEMEANOR CONVICTIONS WITHIN ONE YEAR OF APPLICATION
