- Of the 5000+ car break-ins to date in the city, only 130 are in GP. They have made 38 arrests related these thefts
- They have made 296 stops for speeding on Boulevard in the last month
- 4 people have been detained for the shooting at the Leonard

Ren Lewis, Trees Atlanta ([email protected])
- They have been mulching and pruning trees around the neighborhood; If you would like a tree planted in your yard, contact Ren
- Have gotten approval to plant ~95 trees on Glenwood near Kroger on 10/19. Looking for volunteers. Go to their website to sign up at treesatlanta.org

Homes & History – Paul Simo ([email protected];)

615 Delmar demo/new construction (Rosedale block). Non-contributing house to our historic district and is slated for demo. H&H committee is working with architect on the new design. Most of the homes on Rosedale are non-contributing and H&H keeping an eye on possible new builds that could be occurring in the future so as to not affect our National historic status
628 Robinson Ave and the house behind on Home. A developer had bought up the 4 vacant lots around here and will be making similar style homes as the one at 649 Robinson. Designs have been submitted to AUDC
Tip of the month: Fall is the best time to plant trees. Contact Trees Atlanta and they will do everything

Land Use and Zoning – Rick Hudson ([email protected])

Gateway update: masonry has started at Blvd and United. Material work should be complete by the end of the year and they turn it over to the city to begin the punch list. Anticipated opening in the 1^st quarter of 2020.
Neighbors helping neighbors and the Stadium Neighborhoods Community Trust Fund (SNCTF) update. A number of neighbors being helped including two roofs, porch repair, and a neighbor since 1975 has a tree on her house. Boutte is providing services at cost to help but still seeking funds to help out. Contact Rick at [email protected] to support
Ormewood subdivision. Property is being rezoned from R5 to R-4B and subdivided. Both properties will be required to have a sidewalk per our guidance and will fill in the gaps of the sidewalk. Approval in LUZ committee and motion approved in body to approve
Rick is meeting with Carla and City Planning on all the R5 lots and buildings that are taking a house with a connecting structure to a duplex. LUZ does not support having 2 houses split by a walkway and is working on a moratorium to stop this and the developers. GPNA would like the homes to look like a single structure, not a detached duplex

John Hale: Urban Recipe food cooperatives provide consistent food to people in need, doing so in an environment where recipients build relationships with one another and feel a sense of ownership by participating in the process. Inspired by cooperative principles, the hallmark of the program is a unique level of member engagement—members hold elected offices of leadership within the body and everyone works together to make the co-op function successfully. The mission of Urban Recipe is to partner with its members and supporters in creating food security, building community, and providing a platform for personal development while affirming dignity. Formerly known as the Georgia Avenue Community Ministry, Urban Recipe has been alive and running in Grant Park since 1991, forming and operating food co-ops as well as training groups from around the country and world on how the Urban Recipe model works. Just in the last ten years, more than 2,568,240 pounds of food or a little over 2 million meals have been distributed to families in need through Urban Recipe co-ops.
