The City of Atlanta is divided into twenty-five Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs), which are citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on zoning, land use, special events and other planning issues.

NPU-W Full Monthly Meeting (open to the public) - 7:30pm, every 4^th Wednesday of the month (except November & December which is 3^rd Wednesday)

Grant Park falls under NPU-W - Neighbors are encouraged to attend these meetings to vote on important issues related to Grant Park and Southeast Atlanta. You must attend 3 meetings a year to be able to vote, so get your meetings in early!

• Zoo Atlanta Zoo Paws: Pet Adoption Event
  • Did not present at GPNA 3/20/2018 meeting, but no issues seen with this request
• Buteco Brazilian Coffee Shop: New Business at The Beacon: Seeks a special use permit to allow food truck vending exceeding ninety days.
  • Presented to GPNA meeting on 3/20/2018: Requested support for a special use permit to allow a permanent food truck in one parking space due to lack of space for a kitchen. This is a 5-year vending permit request. Usually a vending permit is only 90 days, so the request is for this to extend to 5 years to avoid reapplying every 90 days. The special use permit is not transferable. Via voice-vote neighbors supported the request
