Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (Ticket booths close at 4:30 p.m.; grounds remain open until 5:30 p.m.) Seasonal hours from April 1-October 31: on Saturdays, Sundays, Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day, the Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. (Ticket booths close at 5:30 p.m.; grounds remain open until 6:30 p.m.)

Behind-the-scenes Wild Encounters allow guests to meet and feed an African elephant, Komodo dragon, giant panda, lemur, Aldabra tortoise or warthog.
Visitors can get closer than ever before to Earth's tallest land mammals on Twiga Terrace. Giraffe feeding is open seasonally, spring into fall, weather permitting.

Treetop Trail presented by Kaiser Permanente, an all-new aerial playground, opened in March 2017. The course, a two-level challenge over the Zoo's KIDZone, features 22 elements at varying challenge levels and culminates in the SkyRail zip line.
Opened in 2015, Scaly Slimy Spectacular: The Amphibian and Reptile Experience was the world's first LEED Gold-certified reptile and amphibian exhibit. The complex is home to more than 70 species in state-of-the-art habitats designed to replicate some of the planet's most iconic wild places.
